This is my honest opinion and review on the Baby Brezza Formula Pro.
My twins were born at 33 weeks and had to spend 2 weeks in the NICU before coming home. While they were in the hospital, I was unable to breastfeed them. I pumped as much as I could, but I had a hard time keeping up with the demands of two babies. By the time they came home from the hospital, I was supplementing formula because I was unable to produce enough milk. After six weeks, I made the difficult decision to stop breastfeeding.
The babies were on a feeding schedule of every 3 hours. I was making a minimum of 16 bottles of formula a day. During the day, making bottles was easy, but the nighttime feedings were hard.
My friend told me about the Baby Brezza and I loved the idea of it being so easy and convenient. I started researching the Baby Brezza and saw many reviews on it. It seemed like half of the people loved the product and couldn’t live without it, and the other half hated it. The Baby Brezza is not cheap and I did not like the idea of spending a couple hundred dollars on one product, but it was something I would use every day so I decided to give it a try.
After the initial shock of paying for the Baby Brezza, I was so excited to try it out. I set it up as soon as I got home. It allows you to make 2,4,6,8, or 10oz bottles of formula within seconds. It mixes the formula for you and dispenses the formula at the perfect temperature. I bought the product from Amazon and you can find the Baby Brezza here.
After making my first bottle, I started worrying about if it was dispensing the correct amount of formula powder or water. I wanted to make sure my babies were still getting the perfectly mixed bottles. To make sure it was dispensing correctly. I decided to make an 6oz bottle using the Baby Brezza and another one by hand. I put them both on the scale and compared them. The weight of both bottles was the same. It made me feel more confident about the product. I believe all bottles will work with this product, but I use these bottles.
The Pros: It makes the perfect bottle quickly and is easy to operate. There are several settings for the different types of formula out there. For instance, I use the Kirkland Non-GMO formula and it requires it to be on setting 7. This is how it creates the perfect bottle based on the formula brand and type.
The Cons: This product does mess up sometimes and gives me a 4oz bottle when I set it for a 6oz. If I turn off the machine for a minute or two and turn it back on, it works correctly again. It only happens about once every two weeks or so. To me, this is a minor problem that does not change my mind on how much I love the product.
In the reviews I read, some people did not like how often you had to clean the product. I take apart the Baby Brezza once a week (every Sunday) to clean and sanitize it. It doesn’t take long to clean (about 15 mins) and I like the piece of mind of having it clean for the week ahead. The instructions only calls for it to be cleaned monthly. There is a cleaning funnel light that will blink red after every 4 bottles made. You take out the funnel, wipe it clean of any formula left over, and pop it back in. Takes me less than 30 seconds.
I recommend this product to anyone that uses formula on a daily basis. This product is so easy and convenient to use. This is my favorite item that I bought for the twins this year.
Have you tried the Baby Brezza before? I would love to hear your thoughts on it.
